Christians are not permitted to transgress God's commands. We must model right attitudes and behavior for others to follow. That means staying clean in Christ. Be careful who and what you follow so that you’re not led astray. Stay clean in Christ.
We will always have relative poverty, where some have much and some have much less; where some lend and some borrow. The deeper message is that God expects His people to never cease being generous. The command isn’t to solve their poverty problem. He commands us to solve our stinginess problem.
We've turned God's love into an idol. Philosophers once declared that God is dead. They now declare that God is love. If God is dead, we don't have to do what He wants. If He is love, we can do whatever we want. God is love, but first God is holy. His holiness is His primary attribute.
We should endeavor to live not by our power, our righteousness, and our perfection, but by our weakness, humility, and by God’s faithfulness.
Stop clinging to this fragile life and start living for eternity in Christ!
Four reasons to share your personal testimony:
• Your salvation
• Rededication of your life
• Service and generosity
• Sharing a story for God’s glory
What will you cast away and build today? An idol is anything that we put before God. In this track we’ll talk about casting our idols aside. When you do, you’ll write your personal testimony just as the Israelites were writing their collective testimony.
Idols stand in the way of us seeing God’s holiness. 1. God’s promise is better than our plan. 2. We easily forget God's blessings. 3. All idols are NOTHING in view of eternity. 4. We pay a price by going astray. 5. You can be owned by your idol, or righteousness can be yours through faith in God.
If the Lord is One (Father, Spirit, Son—one God in three persons), the Lord has won! Depressed? The Lord has won. Anxious? The Lord has won! Lonely? The Lord has won! Grieving? The Lord has won! Fearful? The Lord has won! Family issues? The Lord has won! The Lord is One. The Lord has won!
Do you live in the spiritual land the Lord has given you? Are you living God’s promises, or have you given up? Don’t reject the promises the Lord has given you. Bloom in the land where He planted you…the place He called you to live your life…and the people He has placed in your path.
Without navigational assistance from landmarks and the sun, humans are incapable of walking in a straight line.
Without God, we digress into debauchery. Without the perfect and righteous standard of our holy God, humans are incapable of walking a straight moral line.
Which line are you walking?
Rebelling from God is theft of His plan for your life.
Don’t rob yourself of the blessings that flow from serving the Lord!
When you run from God’s plan for your life you are stealing from Him because He created you to glorify His name.
Stop loving the world. Start serving the Lord today.
It is good to passionately seek a tranquil oasis, carving out time for introspection and self-discovery.
Cherish these moments as investments in our personal growth.
For it is in the serenity of these spaces that we find the clarity that sustains us on the arduous journey of our “one life to live.”
Jesus taught us not to rationalize and spiritualize our disobedience.
We disobey God when we think it benefits us…when it suits our purpose to rationalize and spiritualize our words and deeds.
That kind of religion is not about a relationship, and it is not about righteousness. It is devious.
Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath.
In Him we find spiritual rest.
In Jesus we find our Sabbath rest.
Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
I pray you do, and are thus able to find joyful rest.
What is an honorable Father?
